We had another great week at Carson Grove. Students and staff are settling into routines nicely. Everyone is doing a great job being kind and welcoming to all as the year gets started. Students have really enjoyed playing with the new recess sports equipment that was purchased in the spring with the support of our school council!

Hello Carson Grove Families, This afternoon, students and staff followed our fire alarm evacuation procedure after the fire alarms went off in our school. The alarm was set off accidentally. We were prepared for this possibility and there was no fire or danger to anyone in the school.

Oumnia Bekhti a registered dental hygienist (RDH) with Ottawa Public Health will provide dental screening on October 1st and 2nd, 2024* for students in JK, SK, Grade 2, Grade 4 and some follow-ups as needed. If your child’s grade is not selected, but you wish for the dental hygienist to see him/her, please advise the school. (* Some date(s) may be subject to change)

Our first four days of school were great! Students are doing well as they learn the routines at school and make friends. Everyone has been very welcoming of new students and staff members. The media permission, technology use, breakfast program, and peanut allergy forms that were sent home this week have been coming back quickly. Thank you for your support! Please look for the personal information verification forms to be sent home with your child soon.
