Carson Grove ES

Incredibly, there are only 19 days of school left in the school year. Where did the time go? Last week was another great one at Carson Grove. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful, sunny weather with a lot of outdoor learning and play and also took part in two days of tennis workshops.

It’s almost June already! Wow! Friday, June 2nd is a PA Day for writing report cards. There will be no school for students. Report cards will be sent to families as a password-protected email attachment during the last week of the month. More details on how to access the reports will be coming soon.

It was amazing to see so many families out at our 50th anniversary celebration! The weather was perfect and the community really came together. Seeing past students and staff members connect added something special to the evening. We would like to thank Carson Grove’s school council, Ottawa City Councillor Tim Tierney, the many Gloucester High School student volunteers, the bus drivers from ML Bradley, and our staff planning team for making it all happen! What a wonderful celebration!

It was another great week at Carson Grove! The highlight of the week was the grades 2 to 5 field trips to the Children’s Festival at LeBreton Flats. The weather was beautiful and students represented Carson Grove very well. Looking forward to this week, both junior soccer teams will be in action at their regional tournaments. We will also be celebrating our 50th anniversary this Thursday.
