Carson Grove ES News - Week of Dec. 18th
It’s the last week of school left before the Winter Break. The last day of school is Friday, December 22nd and school will start again on Monday, January 8th. We hope that you and your family have a safe and happy Winter Holiday!
What Happens When Buses and Vans are Cancelled Because of the Weather?
On days when the buses and vans are cancelled because of the weather, the school is still open. Families can drop off their children after 9:00 and pick them up at 3:45. Attendance is still taken to make sure that all students are safe. Please call the school if your child is not at school. This saves the office team a lot of time making phone calls home. Also, please call the office if someone other than a parent or emergency contact is picking up your child at the end of the day. Thank you!
December Spirit Days - This Week!
From December 18th to 22nd, Carson Grove will be having a Spirit Week. Here are the themes:
-Monday, Dec. 18th - Holiday/Winter Hat Day - Wear a holiday-themed hat or a hat that you’d wear in the winter.
-Tuesday, Dec. 19th - Shine Bright Like a Light/Holiday Bling Day - Wear something with sparkles, glitter, or sparkles or dress in something fancy that you might wear to a holiday party.
-Wednesday, Dec. 20th - Colours of Winter Day - Think snow, ice and winter colours. Wear colours that remind you of the winter season.
-Thursday, Dec. 21st - Red and Green/Holiday Sweater Day - Wear something red or green or wear a holiday sweater (it could be “ugly”, if you’d like…).
-Friday, Dec. 22nd - PJ Day - It’s time to get cozy. Wear your pyjamas or comfortable sleeping or lounging clothes.
Carson Grove Holiday Concert - Wednesday, Dec. 20th at 1pm
We will be having a holiday concert on Wednesday, December 20th at 1pm. Families are welcome to attend. Please arrive by 12:45pm to find your seats.
