Carson Grove ES News Update - Week of Nov. 20th

The end of fall / beginning of winter weather is here!  Please be sure that your child comes to school ready to play outdoors.  The school does have some winter clothes for students to use.  Please have your child come to the office if they ever need outdoor clothing.  Indoor shoes are still also very important at this time of the year to help keep the school clean!

November 19th to 25th is Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week

Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week is an opportunity for us all to reinforce clear and positive messages that bullying is not acceptable in our schools and communities.  This week, we will be working to raise awareness and provide helpful information for how we can all work together to prevent and respond to bullying.  At Carson Grove, we will be talking about how we can all use our WITS when something or someone is bothering us:

Walk Away

Ignore

Talk It Out

Seek Help (from a Trusted Adult)

Accessing Grade 1 to 5 Progress Reports and Kindergarten Initial Observations

Families will receive their child’s Grade 1 to 5 Progress Reports and/or Kindergarten Initial Observations directly in their email.  On Thursday, November 16th, you will receive an email from the school that contains the link to download the secure PDF report card. Parents and guardians will need to enter their child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN) to access the report card.

When entering the OEN, please include the hyphens (dashes). The format should be XXX-XXX-XXX. The OEN can be found on any previous provincial report cards. The school will also send home a copy of the OEN next week.  Please contact the school office if you need any help.
