FREE - GCBA Girls’ Summer Basketball Skills Park Program at Don Boudria Park, Orleans
The GCBA Girls Summer Basketball Skills Park Program is for girls ages 8 to 13. The sessions are completely FREE and will take place over four Saturday mornings in June, July, and August plus one evening in late August. Click here to view information on the GCBA website and to register.
Sessions are designed as an introduction to basketball so players with beginner and intermediate levels are welcome. As it is an introductory program, current competitive level players are welcome if supportively accompanying less experienced players.
Each 60 minute session will be led by a GCBA Wolverines girls program coach along with high school aged Wolverines girls players. The program uses a game-based approach to develop skills in fun and engaging ways while building a love for the game.
Sessions start at 9 am and take place at Don Boudria Park (655 Decoeur Drive, Orleans K4A 3W4).
A second 10 am session may be added, if needed. Here are the session dates:
- Saturday, June 21
- Saturday, July 5
- Saturday, July 19
- Saturday, August 9
- Wednesday, August 20 (*Special evening at Francois Dupuis Rec. Complex)
This FREE program is a great way to be introduced to the game of basketball. We hope to see you out on the court this summer!
*Groups will be formed based on enrolment numbers and the age ranges of participants.
