Carson Grove ES News - June 27th Final Summer 2025 Update

What a busy week! There was so much to celebrate, including our grade 5 students who will be off to new grade 6 adventures next year at their new schools!

Again this year, our many successes were thanks to the exceptional Carson Grove staff, a supportive School Council and other volunteers, amazing families, and fantastic students. We are quite the team!

On behalf of the entire Carson Grove team, we wish you and your family a safe and happy summer!  

School Office Update and More About the First Day of School

Our school office is now closed for the summer and is scheduled to reopen on Monday, August 25th.  

The first day of school for all students will be Tuesday, September 2nd. We will send more information to all families about what to expect once the school office reopens in August.

Goodbye and Thank you!

At this time of the year, we say thank you, goodbye, and good luck to a few educators. In particular, we really appreciate the support of casual or term staff who replaced permanent staff: ECE Shama Shawon, and teachers Kris Taillefer and Jannel Dennis.

Welcome!

We would like to welcome some new staff to Carson Grove for the 2026-26 school year. New staff members include: teacher Allison Clyde and ECE Courtney Andre. Some additional staff may be hired for teaching and support positions, as needed, before the start of the new school year.

School Bus and Pedestrian Safety Day on Sunday, August 24th

This year’s school bus and pedestrian safety day is taking place on Sunday, August 24th. It’s an opportunity for the whole family to learn about school bus and pedestrian safety; children will be able to ride a real bus and join the Ottawa Safety Council for safety training.
