Carson Grove ES News Update - Week of June 23rd

Last week was another one to remember at Carson Grove.  We all did our best to beat the heat while having fun and learning!

Grades 1 to 5 students had a great play day outside on Friday. The weather, games, and frozen treats were perfect! We also really appreciated the visit last week from Ottawa Fire Services members who did safety presentations with our kindergarten, grade 3, and grade 4 classes.

We have five days of school left. The school office will be closed starting on Monday, June 30th and will reopen on Monday, August 25th.

NEW DATE: Carson Grove ES Grade 5 Leaving Ceremony on June 24th

Due to the high humidex warning on Monday, the Grade 5 Leaving Ceremony at Carson Grove ES has moved to Tuesday, June 24th at 10 am (everyone to be seated by 9:50 am). The gym will still be quite warm so please dress in light clothing and feel free to bring water bottles. Siblings from Carson Grove are welcome to attend but families will need to sign them out at the office because no supervision is possible by staff members.

We are sorry to make the last minute change. The weather on Monday is too hot for the ceremony. We hope to see you there on Tuesday instead!

NEW DATE: Kindergarten Play Day on June 26th

With some of our plans changing for the coming week, the Kindergarten Play Day will now take place in the morning of Thursday, June 26th.

Accessing June Report Cards

Report cards will be sent out to families via email later in the day on Thursday, June 26th. To access the report card, enter your child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN) in this format: XXX-XXX-XXX (remember to enter the hyphens - ). Please look at the November progress report or February report card to see your child’s OEN. We also sent home a reminder of your child’s OEN in the next week on a blue piece of paper. If you have additional questions, visit the OCDSB report card webpage or contact the school office.

2025-26 School Year Plan of Care for Students with Medical Conditions

The OCDSB has implemented an easier, secure method to complete paperwork for your child's medical condition(s). The Plan of Care form is available online and does not require a physical copy or physician signature.

PLAN OF CARE FOR STUDENTS WITH MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Please complete all required fields and click SUBMIT. Any medications for the above medical conditions can be dropped off to the office in September.

If you would prefer a paper copy, please contact the office.
