Carson Grove ES News Update - Week of Feb. 19th

It was another great week at Carson Grove with a lot of excitement!  Outdoor activities and Candy Grams were highlights of the week.  Families also received an email to access their children’s report cards.  Please contact the school office if you have any issues when trying to open the file.

Thank you for remembering to contact the school when buses are cancelled and your child(ren) is staying at home.  All families who don’t report their child(ren) as being away from school are contacted by the office team to confirm that they are safe.  Contacting us makes the very big job much easier for the Ms. Philippa and Ms. Madeleine!

Sandra Copeland, Carson Grove's longtime breakfast program coordinator/monitor, was recently nominated by the Ottawa Network For Education for a Metro Food Basics national recognition award and won!  Please take a look at the press release that went live this morning.

Ms. Sandra is an exceptional member of the Carson Grove team!  With this recognition, more folks across Canada now know about her awesomeness, too!

Carson Grove Student Clothing Sale

This year you will have the opportunity to purchase a Carson Grove Elementary School t-shirt or hoodie sweater for your child. This is a great opportunity to have a lasting memory of their elementary school!

T-Shirts will be $18 each.

Hoodie sweaters will be $35 each.

Orders are due by Tuesday, February 18th, 2025.

REGISTER NOW for Kindergarten

Families with a child who will be four years old by December 31, 2025 (children born in 2021) can visit the OCDSB website to register them for Kindergarten.  You can also come to Carson Grove between 9:30am and 3pm daily to register in person.

February 12th - How to Access Term 1 Elementary Report Cards

On Wednesday, February 12th, you received an email from the school that contains the link to download the secure PDF report card. Parents and guardians need to enter their child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN) to access the report card.  

When entering the OEN, please include the hyphens (dashes). The format should be XXX-XXX-XXX. The OEN can be found on any previous provincial report cards or on a pink paper that was recently sent home with your child.
