Carson Grove ES News Update - Week of Jan. 27th

It was another great week at Carson Grove.  Once the weather warmed up a bit, classes were able to go skating and others went sliding.  We are very lucky to have a school yard with so many options for outdoor fun!

It was nice to see families come to school on Friday to take advantage of the free clothing store. As always, please let us know if your family needs any support with winter clothing.

Parking Lot Closed During Bus Time

When picking up and dropping off at school during times of the day when school buses are present (9 to 9:20 am and 3:40 to 4 pm), please do not enter the school parking lot.  Park on the street and walk on to the school grounds.  Thank you!

January Spirit Day on Friday, January 31st

On Friday, January 31st, the Carson Grove Spirit Committee and one of our junior classes will be hosting a "Hot Chocolate Café Day" to enjoy a warm beverage on a cold winter's day!

Toonie Tuesday is February 25, 2025: Give A Little, Help A Lot! $2 can be the difference between nothing and something.

Our Toonie Tuesday campaign has kicked off, and we’re ready to make 2025 our best year yet!

On the last Tuesday in February, we all come together to support students in need within the OCDSB. But you don’t have to wait until February 25th to donate. You can donate right here, right now!

Did you know that requests continue to increase? Every dollar raised will support students’ access to food, clothing, and meaningful activities. You can invest in a student’s potential! Let’s unite to make a difference!

At the Education Foundation of Ottawa, we believe every student deserves the tools they need to succeed. That’s why we’re here. Our mission is to reduce economic barriers impacting student learning and well-being through financial and in-kind support for students in the OCDSB.

The challenges students face are most likely, and often, out of their control. They shouldn’t have to feel the impact of life’s circumstances. The Education Foundation of Ottawa is here to help, but we can’t do it alone.
