Carson Grove ES News - Week of Dec. 2nd
Carson Grove ES News Update - Week of Dec. 2nd
It was great to see that many families were able to connect with Carson Grove educators over the past week to celebrate student successes and plan for next steps. If you have not yet had the opportunity to speak with your child’s educators and would like to connect, please feel free to reach out at any time. We’re here to work with you as a team!
Please be sure to send your child to school with appropriate cold weather gear. Students will be going outside unless conditions are extreme, such as frostbite warnings, blizzards, high winds/windchill, etc. Students can come to the office to borrow winter clothing. We can also help you to access winter clothing in the community. Please contact the office if you need any winter clothing for your family.
Another thing to remember is that school remains open on days when school transportation has been cancelled. If you are not sure, please look for an Ottawa School Transportation Authority (OSTA) announcement by 6:15am and then make plans to bring your child to school for 9:15am and pick up at 3:45pm. You can sign up for OSTA transportation alerts at ottawaschoolbus.ca.
Monday, December 2nd is Our Second Student Photo Day (for Students Who Were NOT at School on October 22nd)
We have partnered with Ottawa Technical Secondary School (OTSS) for our school photos. The OTSS team first came on October 22nd and are returning on Monday, December 2nd to take the photos of students who were away or not yet at Carson Grove. They will then prepare the photos for us to print on photo paper. A page of prints and a class photo will be available at no charge for all students either late in December or some time in January.
