Week of January 9th News Update

We hope that you had a great winter break with your family!  School starts again on Monday, January 9th.

PJ Day - Friday, January 13th

To make up for the lost spirit day when schools were closed on December 23rd, we will be having a Pyjama Spirit Day on Friday.  Wear a pair of cozy PJs to school to celebrate the end of our first week back at school.

PA Day - Friday, January 20th

The school will be closed for students on Friday, January 20th for a PA Day for staff.

SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, February 1st, 6pm - New to Kindergarten 2023 Info Night

With the 2023 Kindergarten registration week (for new kinders starting in September 2023) set to run in January, Carson Grove ES will be hosting an information session on Wednesday, February 1st at 6:00pm.  More information will be shared soon.  Please share this date and time with any neighbours, friends, or family in our school area.

Tamil Heritage Month 

January is Tamil Heritage Month in Ontario.  January is an important month for Tamil Canadians, as it includes the Tamil Harvest Festival, Thai Pongal, and other Tamil artistic and cultural events.  This month provides an opportunity for all to celebrate Tamil culture and recognize the many contributions Tamil Canadians have made across the province.

Our first school council meeting of the year was held on Tuesday, November 22nd in the school library.  Please click here to view the school council webpage and read the meeting notes.  We will be offering in person and Google Meet options to attend the next meeting in January.  All are welcome!
